Oil Spill Kit is Marine Oil Response measure designed to be deployed easily and effectively, in conjuction with each ships
response plan, as required by the IMO and OPA'90.The sorbents included in the oil spill kit are produced in a varity of forms
which absorb up to 25 times their own weight, for spill control , cleaning , maintenance , marine and other applications.Unifor
delivers Oil Spill Kits in different sizes 12,7 or barrel indicating the absorption capacity of the sorbent.
To affect final clean up, an environmentally safe chemical is provided together with range of personal safety and protection
equipment, disposal bags and hand cleaner.
Regulation Requirements
The requirements of OPA'90 is that the tankers 400ft or greater in lenght which is carrying oil in bulk shall have equipment to handle
a 12 BARRELS(1900liters) of deck spill.Tankers under 400ft must be equipped to deal 7 barrels (1100liters) , while in land-oil
barges must be able to deal with at least 1 barrel.
